While vacationing in the Indiana Dunes region, a crew of us went on an antiquing adventure at The Antique Market in Michigan City, Ind., about 12 miles up the road. (The mall’s website boasts 14o dealers. It’s a good-sized place if you’ve got a spare hour or so.) Our group included my daughters, Sarah and Annie, niece Cadie, and Carrie and her daughter, Maggie.
I’ve been shopping here for years and I’d guess the vast majority are longtime dealers, but that isn’t a bad thing: many of them have high quality and interesting merchandise that gets turned over often enough. We found plenty of things over which to share moments of “huh!” “cool!” “wow, really?” “look at this!” and “I gotta have it.”
